Please watch a Special Bara 4th of July Festivities Video from Pastor Joel and Ryan Bradley.
The 4th of July is just two days away and we are excited! This holiday is a great time when the whole town throws a party and we get the opportunity to serve, bless, and fellowship with one another. With that, WE COULD USE YOUR HELP!
We have two main areas we could use your help. The first is at the town 5K that will start and end at Byron Nelson High School. The race starts at 7:15am and we will be serving breakfast and handing out waters to runners as they cross the finish line. It would be great if volunteers were able to arrive around 6:30am. Look for the breakfast table and other Bara smiling faces at the main entry of BNHS.
The second is we will need as many Bara family and friends to walk the parade route. We recently acquired a school bus that will be decorated by our students to look fabulous as our float. We will also be passing out 2,000 water bottles and 1,000 packages to patrons along the route. You are more than welcome to walk or ride the bus! In order to join us for this, please be in the Byron Nelson Parking Lot by 9am and look for the beautiful Bara Bus as the parade will begin at 9:30.
For both of these events please wear any Bara shirt you may have. If not, any patriotic shirts or colors will do!
Lastly, we'd like to encourage you to join us for fellowship as at the end of the long, fun, and service-filled day, we like to gather together and watch the fireworks! Look for the Bara Bus or for updates on the Bara Facebook and Twitter feeds as to our location!
Thank you in advance for all your service this 4th of July. Thank you for helping share the Gospel through service, smiles, and water bottles. Thank you for helping us continue Bara's mission: TO KNOW CHRIST AND MAKE HIM KNOWN!
If any of you are willing to help transport 2000 water bottles from Costco to Hawaiian Falls Friday between 5-6pm, or from Hawaiian Falls to BNHS Saturday morning please contact Joel at joel@barachurch.com.
See you Saturday

BSM Serve: 4th of July
It's 4th of July weekend and so many of our students have already done so much to help from stuffing bags to decorating the bus, and yet we could still use a little more help. We are asking students to help in one or both areas. The first opportunity is to come help serve breakfast and pass out waters to runner finishing the 5K. Those volunteers need to be at BNHS at 6:45am. The other opportunity, and this where we need the most help, is to walk the parade route and pas out bags and water bottles to patrons along the parade route. Those volunteers need to be at BNHS at 9am and look for the Big Beautiful Bara Bus. Thanks in advance for all your help. See you Saturday!
We are excited to announce Summer Rec is starting this next week! All information can be found here. Please help us spread the word and invite friends and family. Any students 13 and older can be volunteer leaders and we'd love to have them as we will need them! Check out www.barachurch.com/summerrec for more information!

Arise and Build
If you love accomplishing a lot at one time (think: one stop shopping) then you need to come check out our Arise and Build Prayer Nights every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at the BARA offices. In less than an hour, you can praise The Lord for all He is doing in and through Arise and Build while you answer His call to pray audaciously for what is to come and if that wasn't enough: you will get to build new relationships with your BARA family!! One of the sweet byproducts of our Prayer Nights for those of us that have been participating is that we have experienced the joy of getting to know each other better in ways that can only happen by praying and spending time together. Give it a try and see how God can use a time of prayer devoted to building a building to actually build His church!
