On Sunday, September 14th Bara Church celebrated 5 years of being a church that exists to know Christ and make him known. We wanted to celebrate all that God has done in, for and through Bara these past five years as well as look forward in anticipation to what He’s calling us to in Trophy Club, Westlake, Roanoke and beyond.
We looked back at stories of Gospel change and missional living from Bara Church partners and friends. We heard stories about how people have come to view themselves and church differently by the grace of God. We also looked forward to how God is calling us to steward the disproportionate influence of Bara Church both locally and globally. It was a great time of celebration and worship as we sang, laughed, and reflected together on God’s amazing grace in our community and lives. And it didn't stop there! After the gathering we continued the celebration with a "Bara Style" big old BBQ and Tailgate party.

BSM Worship: What God Desires for You in Attraction
This Sunday night we'll be starting an awesome new series on dating and relationships, but in a fun, positive, and Biblical way. You're going to love this series. It will give you a completely new outlook on the opposite sex and how God created everything to be. We'll be gathering at the Bradley's (4004 Shrike Trail, Roanoke) from 6-7:15pm. We'll have snacks, worship, games, and fun as always. You don;t want to miss this.

B-Kids
It was so awesome celebrating Bara's 5th birthday with all of you! This week is another amazing Sunday- Bless Our Schools! The children will all have the opportunity to stand up in front of our gathering and share their personal prayers with everyone. This is such a cool way to see into the hearts of each of these kids and something I look forward to every year! If ANYONE in our church has specific prayers they would like shared this Sunday for our school year, please see me at the beginning of service and I will make sure your prayer is shared. Also, directly following the gathering, in the children's room, we will be having our first Growing Givers meeting. This will be an informative meeting were I can share my vision for this year's event and where I can also see who wants to be involved and in what capacity. Arise and Build
If you love accomplishing a lot at one time (think: one stop shopping) then you need to come check out our Arise and Build Prayer Nights every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at the BARA offices. In less than an hour, you can praise The Lord for all He is doing in and through Arise and Build while you answer His call to pray audaciously for what is to come and if that wasn't enough: you will get to build new relationships with your BARA family!! One of the sweet byproducts of our Prayer Nights for those of us that have been participating is that we have experienced the joy of getting to know each other better in ways that can only happen by praying and spending time together.
