Life is a journey with many ups and downs. And through it all God is there with us. Every brutal and beautiful mile.

1. The Dream Killers
Joseph had a dream. When he shared it with his brothers, they hated him all the more. They hated that he had a God given dream.
In Joel’s sermon, he says that “All of us have this dream that God’s given us, but there are forces, and people, and circumstances of life that continually set themselves against the living, the accomplishment, the fulfillment of the dream.”
Forces may make it seem impossible that the dream will be carried out, but when the dream originates from God, He is able to see it through to fulfillment!

2. Keeping It Between The Lines
This is the worst case scenario, but the Lord was with Joseph. This is bigger than sex; this is about slavery. Christ's love compels us. The enemy doesn't take a day off; neither should we. When you say "Yes" to your desires, you say "No" to God's dreams. Our pride can't be in our cloaks. Quit trying to fight temptation and flee from it! If the devil can't get you with the truth, he's gonna try with a lie. They lied about Joeseph, and they lied about Jesus. People are gonna lie about you! So much for prosperity; this is the prison gospel. It's heresy to think that following God means straight streets and storm-free skies. So how do we keep it between the lines? Let God be God. Let God be big. Let God be good. Let God be for you. Let God be with you.

3. The Waiting Room
He forgot him. Two FULL years. It is better to suffer in prison with God than to strut throughout the palace without Him.
There is no such thing as prayer unanswered by God or unnoticed by God, and somethings we see as refusals or denials are simply delays - Horatius Bonar
Could it be that what we see as us waiting on God is simply God waiting on us?

4. Living The Dream
Faith is a God given ability that when awakened opens our eyes to the unseen.
We’ve got to believe that God gives dreams, decides destinies, He has a will that’s bigger than us.
If you walk through life with your eyes closed, or focused on yourself, and the problems in front of you, and you’re not awakened to the God of the universe; you’re not going to realize that dream, you aren’t going to live that dream, you aren’t going to walk into that destiny.
When Joseph does get promoted form Pharaoh it’s about salvation. God wanted to save the world, and He used Joseph’s dream to save others. We fulfill God’s dream for us, when we help others fulfill God’s dream for them.

5. Do This And Live
Forgiveness by it's very definition can never be earned. Forgiveness can be a specific point in time, but it often occurs as a process.
The size of your forgiveness is related to the size of your God. Forgiveness is not rational, but is relational.
Jesus, not Joseph, is the standard for forgiveness.

6. God's Favorite Road
Sometimes when we don’t understand forgiveness it results in slavery.
There’s nothing we can do that would make God love us more or less. It’s until God forgives us, that we can’t be saved by Him to live with Him in eternity.
Pastor Joel says, “wherever you are, if you will follow God on His road, it may be hard with ups and downs, brutal, and beautiful, and I can’t tell you what it’ll be like, but if it’s anything like mine, it’s tough. But it ends in the garden, and in glory, with joy, because God will do what He says He will do. He is who He says He is.”
