People don’t dream of getting a divorce when they grow up. We don’t hope that our families become divided. Of course we don’t.

We want unity.

Being together, or unified, is something that we desire because it’s what God desires, and this is because we’re made in His image and likeness.

May Be One

In John 17, Jesus prays for believers that we would, “be one,” just like Jesus and His Father were one. He prayed this “so that the world may believe that” God sent Jesus into the world. Unity is very important. It’s a testimony to lost people in our world. Being unified, is being like God.

There’s a quote that’s been said that, “fear, fears community.” When we abide in community we are becoming more unified. When we are becoming more unified, we are reflecting God greater and greater.
