Pray. Pray continually. When you pray. Pray for us. Pray for your enemies. This is how you pray. Pray for the sick. Knock, seek, ask ... Pray.

Bara Church's mission will always remain to know Christ and make him known. But God has gifted us with some very specific instructions for the year 2015: Pray.

1. A Year To Pray

The theme for 2015 at Bara Church is prayer.

Colossians 4:2 says, "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." As we enter into 2015, let's be a people that devote ourselves to prayer. Let's be a people of prayer.

John Wesley said that "prayer is where the action is." Let's pray together and see what God does.

2. Prayer Cover... To Cover: A Simple Theology Of Prayer

We're looking throughout all of the scriptures from cover to cover. From Genesis to Revelation. From A to Z. We're looking at the purpose and significance of prayer from examples throughout the Bible.

A lot of times we stop praying because of unanswered prayer. But "the greatest tragedy of life is not unanswered prayer, it's unoffered prayer." God wants us to live in communication with Him.

3. The Testimony Of Prayer

Prayer is a powerful thing and one of the great things it produces is change!

WE often want a change in situations, outcomes, and circumstances, but what God desires is a change in our perspective. Through the view of the early church in Acts 12, praying ferociously for the freedom of Peter, we see how prayer can change us.

May we pray, listen, and then watch and see how prayer can change the life of those of us who cry out to Him in prayer. We might just see miracles.
